After going through the agony of many failed online relationships you think that you finally met someone who could be Ms. Right. She has agreed to meet you in person and you are all set for your meeting. This is your one chance to impress Ms. Right and become Mr. Right for her.
Here are some special things that you can do to make sure you impress your date the first time you meet.
Be neat and nicely groomed when you meet. Don’t look disheveled and unkempt. She will make a bad assessment of you if you don’t look your very best. Make sure you shave and look neat and clean.
Show up on time. Nothing makes a woman mad more than being late for a date. It is especially important for the first date. You will be telling her that you don’t see the date as important and that her time is not valuable to you.
Bring some flowers. It might seem corny in this day and age, but it is actually very sweet. Your date will know you are trying to impress her and she will appreciate your effort. You are letting her know that you consider her to be special.
Show your manners. A woman appreciates good manners and gentlemen. Open the doors and help her with her coat. Do all the things your mother told you to do on a date. They may not seem important but they will go a long way to impressing your potential Ms. Right.
Show her some genuine appreciation with a compliment or two. Don’t be insincere with your compliments. Just honestly tell her something nice about herself. An honest compliment will tell her that you have noticed her appearance and appreciated it. Or you have found her conversation engaging and told her.
Have some nice light conversation on your date. Ask her opinions on things and make sure to show some interest in her responses. The most important part of a conversation is listening. Make sure that you do. Find out her likes and dislikes and share yours with her. Hopefully you will have many of the same dislikes and likes.
Follow up your date with a phone call. Show her that you had a good time and would like to see her again. If you do not follow up she might assume that you did not enjoy the date and will not expect to see you again. Show her your interest and she will be more comfortable showing hers.
